The beginning stages of creating Minnie mouse headbands.

The first two I made took me a couple of hours.  This was a month before the party.   With practice, I was able to make more each day I got to work on them.   At the end of this project,  I made 20 Minnie headbands and about 15 mickey headbands.

Did I mention this was a double themed party?  Yes!  We combined hee 1st birthday with her baptism celebration.  Red bow Minnie for her birthday and Black and White damask for her baptism theme.   Double theme equals double decors, equals double time DIY’s and planning.

I did it this way this time around,  because I wanted to knock down two birds with one stone.  Learning from experience with my two boys, I thought this would make it less expensive and less stressful.   Instead, it was still as expensive and the planning was even more stressful lol.

Nonetheless, it was a great turnout and I’m happy we did it this way.  All the stress and hard work was worth it.  Everything was put together just fine.

Here’s the birthday girl herself.  I bought her outfit from etsy.  Her black chuck Taylor’s went with it so well.

Birthday favors.  Boxes are from etsy.  I ordered her personalized stickers from
Evermine.com.  The Minnie Mouse cutout was purchases from etsy.  I had to make the white circles and glued everything on myself.

Here’s the dessert buffet.  I know, I know, the banner isn’t centered lol.  I think someone moved the table.  Banner was purchased from etsy.
